HOPE Therapeutics Deploys AI-Driven Navigation for TMS Treatments

A patient in Sarasota has become the first to receive treatment using the FDA-cleared Zeta TMS Navigation System, marking a shift toward sub-millimetric precision in outpatient psychiatric care. The rollout, spearheaded by HOPE Therapeutics, integrates advanced computer vision into standard workflows for managing treatment-resistant depression.

The Zeta TMS Navigation System employs proprietary RealTrack technology to bridge the gap between complex neuro-imaging and clinical application. By utilizing artificial intelligence, the system registers a patient’s MRI or CT scans to their facial anatomy in under two minutes. This allows clinicians to maintain continuous, markerless tracking of the TMS coil relative to specific neural circuits throughout the procedure.

HOPE Therapeutics has installed these systems across its Florida facilities, including locations in West Palm Beach and Sarasota. Beyond major depressive disorder, the technology targets brain circuit dysfunction associated with conditions like obsessive-compulsive disorder. Raahil Sha, co-founder of Zeta Surgical, noted that the deployment aims to bring surgical-grade accuracy to routine clinic environments. Dr. Rebecca Cohen, medical director at HOPE, emphasized that the transition to personalized, image-guided protocols is intended to improve patient outcomes and overall quality of life for those undergoing psychiatric intervention.
