Builders Alliance and Project Destined Launch Pasadena Student Program
High school students in Pasadena are entering the construction sector through a new training initiative designed to support long-term recovery efforts following the January 2025 Los Angeles wildfires. The program bridges the gap between academic learning and professional practice for local youth while addressing critical community rebuilding needs.

The partnership between Builders Alliance and Project Destined targets more than 40 high school students this spring. Participants will undergo a four-week virtual training curriculum focused on real estate development, market analysis, and construction management. Beyond classroom instruction, the initiative offers a tangible career pathway: up to ten top-performing students will secure paid internships during the summer of 2026, hosted by industry leader Brookfield Residential.
This workforce development effort functions as an extension of the Builders Alliance mission to assist fire-impacted communities. Since its formation, the nonprofit has focused on connecting industry expertise with residents, including the launch of an AI-powered portal to help survivors navigate rebuilding solutions. By involving local students in the recovery process, organizers aim to foster professional development while simultaneously strengthening the community's capacity for reconstruction. Project Destined, which has trained over 30,000 students nationwide, will manage recruitment and curriculum delivery, ensuring participants gain both technical skills and direct exposure to active job sites.
