Colossal Raises $100 Million for Charity Through 2025 Competitions
Professional fundraiser Colossal generated over $100 million in charitable support during 2025, leveraging a series of online competitions to fund causes ranging from pediatric cancer research and ocean conservation to food insecurity. The organization channeled these contributions through DTCare, a 501(c)(3) public charity, to support various nonprofit partners.

The 2025 campaign portfolio saw significant participation from high-profile advocates, including Elton John, Jessica Alba, and Bill Nye. These public figures supported diverse initiatives that translated digital engagement into tangible infrastructure and aid. Notably, the "Baby of the Year" competition secured over $18.5 million for Baby2Baby, facilitating the expansion of a 47,000-square-foot headquarters and disaster relief efforts. Meanwhile, the "Youth Athlete of the Year" campaign raised more than $24 million, split between the Why Not You Foundation and the V Foundation for Cancer Research.
Other notable grants included $13.6 million for the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation and $8.3 million for PAWS, which supported the expansion of wildlife rehabilitation facilities. These funds provided critical resources for domestic and wild animal care, including the treatment of orphaned black bears and raptors. Colossal’s model relies on these purpose-driven competitions to bridge the gap between public engagement and the financial needs of charitable organizations, maintaining operations through partnerships with DTCare and the Action Initiative Team to ensure all donations reach their designated beneficiaries.
