EWTN Secures 75 Honors at 2026 Catholic Media Awards
EWTN Global Catholic Network claimed 75 honors, including 30 first-place awards, at the 2026 Catholic Media Awards. The accolades, presented June 19 in Atlantic City, highlight the network's extensive coverage of significant Church transitions, including the passing of Pope Francis and the historic election of Pope Leo XIV.

The recognition spans EWTN’s diverse media divisions, including digital platforms, studio productions, publishing, and global news services. Judges evaluated work produced throughout 2025, honoring projects ranging from social media campaigns and photography to long-form documentaries. Michael P. Warsaw, Chairman and CEO, attributed the success to the dedication of teams working across television, radio, and print to reach audiences globally.
Individual honors went to papal photographer Daniel Ibáñez, named Photographer of the Year, and Debbie Cowden, recognized as Social Media Professional of the Year. The National Catholic Register maintained its industry standing by winning the Best Catholic Newspaper title for the sixth time in ten years. Additionally, EWTN Studios saw success at the Gabriel Awards, where its streaming series James the Less earned top honors for digital media content. The network also dominated several video categories, sweeping multiple slots in features covering personality profiles and pro-life advocacy.
