Samsung Raises Galaxy A27 Price While Trimming Specs
Samsung’s newly announced Galaxy A27 arrives with a $349.99 price tag, marking a $50 increase over its predecessor. This premium comes despite a series of hardware downgrades that leave the device in a precarious position against an increasingly expensive smartphone market.

The A27 features a 12-megapixel selfie camera and a 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor, both representing a reduction in resolution compared to last year’s model. The handset also offers lower IP64 waterproofing ratings and a slightly thicker 7.8mm chassis. Core specifications remain static, including the 5,000mAh battery, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a 6.7-inch 120Hz display. The singular improvement is the transition to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, replacing the previous Exynos 1380.
Industry-wide inflation continues to squeeze the budget sector, forcing manufacturers to adjust their pricing strategies. Nothing has responded to these pressures by canceling additions to its CMF line, while Apple has also implemented price hikes elsewhere in its catalog. The Galaxy A27 hits US retail shelves on July 14th in a black finish, with international markets receiving additional blue and pink colorways starting July 3rd.
