Hivelocity Targets Healthcare Sector with HIPAA-Ready Bare Metal Suite
Tampa-based infrastructure provider Hivelocity has unveiled a dedicated bare-metal bundle designed specifically for healthcare organizations. The offering targets providers and technology vendors who require predictable costs and direct control over their security environments, bypassing the often expensive and unnecessary elasticity of standard public cloud models.

Many healthcare systems operate on consistent, round-the-clock schedules that clash with the bursty architecture of traditional cloud services. To address this, Hivelocity’s new bundle organizes infrastructure into three distinct tiers: Engineering Compute for development and testing, Production Compute for administrative systems, and Protected Compute for PHI-intensive applications like electronic health records and medical imaging.
By leveraging this model, organizations maintain direct oversight of security policies and audit trails, a critical requirement for HIPAA compliance. The service is backed by SOC 2 Type II reporting and integrates with existing automation tools, including Infrastructure as Code and the myVelocity management portal. According to Chief Product Officer Ned Pope, the bundle aims to provide the visibility necessary for healthcare teams to manage complex compliance programs with greater confidence. Founded in 2002, Hivelocity continues to focus on dedicated hardware solutions for industries where network stability and granular environment control remain paramount.
