Beijing Expo Debuts AI Zone as Global Supply Chains Converge

The expo, which concluded today, utilized a "6 Chains and 1 Zone" framework to organize its sprawling footprint. This structure spanned sectors from green agriculture to smart vehicles, but the newly minted AI zone served as the event's primary draw. Industry heavyweights including NVIDIA, Intel, Qualcomm, and Alibaba occupied this space, demonstrating the entire AI lifecycle from raw data collection to intelligent computing deployments.

Participation figures underscore the expo's scale: over 1,200 entities were present, with foreign firms accounting for more than a third of the total roster. Apple utilized the platform to highlight green manufacturing alongside local suppliers, while Airbus brought a coalition of 15 aviation partners to detail the lifecycle management of large aircraft. Beyond the exhibition floor, the event served as a launchpad for more than 160 new products and services, including China-first industrial AI solutions from Siemens and Honeywell. Organizers also used the gathering to release the 2026 Global Supply Chain Promotion Report, providing a resilience index for international partners navigating an increasingly complex trade landscape.
