In his new capacity, Els will oversee the company's portfolio monitoring, technical pricing, and capital model integrity. He transitions to the role from Policy Expert, where he functioned as interim Head of Risk and Reserving. His background includes a seven-year tenure as Head Actuary at Motability Operations and significant stints at Allianz, RSA, and Brit Insurance, where he focused on algorithmic underwriting logic and mid-market business pricing.

Nicolas Laqua, CEO and Co-Founder of Corgi, noted that Els’s technical proficiency in reserving and capital management aligns with the firm’s expansion strategy. Els joins a leadership team that recently added Jeremy Eisemann, formerly of the Reinsurance Association of America, to manage government affairs. Corgi, which has secured $374 million in funding and holds a $2.6 billion valuation, continues to integrate its proprietary AI underwriting technology with traditional actuarial expertise.
