Keller Logistics Turns Highway Fleet into Mobile Fentanyl Awareness

A 53-foot tractor-trailer emblazoned with a warning about illicit fentanyl made its debut in Defiance, Ohio, this week. The vehicle, operated by Keller Logistics Group, serves as the latest rolling billboard for the Hope Hits the Highway campaign, which equips long-haul drivers with naloxone to intervene during roadside opioid emergencies.

The initiative, a collaboration with the American Trucking Associations’ Trucking Cares Foundation and the advocacy group Facing Fentanyl, transforms professional drivers into first responders. Twenty Keller employees have completed training to carry and administer naloxone, the overdose-reversal medication, within their cabs. By positioning these drivers across national transit routes, the program aims to provide a safety net at rest stops and truck terminals where emergency services may be delayed.

At the center of the campaign is the story of Jayden Miller, a 19-year-old who died from fentanyl poisoning. His mother, Adrienne Sautter, spearheaded the effort to bring his likeness to the trailer’s wrap, designed by artist Eden Neville. This mobile memorial will head to New York City for a press conference at Father Duffy Square on August 20, 2026, marking the lead-up to National Fentanyl Prevention and Awareness Day.

Federal data indicates that illicit fentanyl remains a leading cause of drug-related fatalities, with the Drug Enforcement Administration estimating that seven in ten counterfeit pills contain lethal doses. While Ohio saw a 34 percent decline in unintentional overdose deaths in 2025, industry leaders argue that the trucking sector’s reach makes it an ideal platform for public health outreach. Bryan Keller, CEO of the logistics firm, described the move as an extension of the company's community-focused values, noting that the goal is to make life-saving resources as mobile as the freight itself.
