PowerBank and Nodiac.ai Partner to Deploy Modular AI Data Centers

PowerBank Corporation has entered a joint development agreement with Nodiac.ai to co-locate containerized data centers at existing renewable energy sites across North America. The partnership seeks to bypass lengthy grid interconnection queues by utilizing sites that already possess established power generation, land, and permitting approvals.

The agreement formalizes a collaboration first proposed in April, providing a structural framework for both companies to share cash flow and evaluate new locations. By deploying modular 1–20 MW units directly at solar and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) sites, the firms aim to bring artificial intelligence compute capacity online in months rather than the years typically required for hyperscale construction.

Dr. Richard Lu, CEO of PowerBank, described the move as a transition from vision to execution, positioning the company’s existing renewable assets as the foundation for the digital economy’s surging power requirements. Nodiac CEO Robert Sher emphasized that the model directly addresses the industry's most significant constraint: immediate access to power. With electricity demand from data centers projected to rise significantly by 2030, this initiative allows PowerBank to extract new value from its 1 GW development pipeline while providing scalable infrastructure for AI workloads.
