Kaiju No. 8 THE GAME Returns to Anime Expo 2026
Following a successful debut last year, the Defense Force is mounting a return to the Los Angeles Convention Center. From July 2 to July 5, Akatsuki Games, TOHO, and Production I.G will transform booth WH-1150 into an interactive hub for fans to track the development of their flagship title.
The booth experience, titled Capture the Kaiju Code, shifts focus toward the title's evolution over the past twelve months. Attendees will navigate a tech-driven scavenger hunt, scanning QR codes embedded across the booth’s architecture. These scans trigger character evolution cinematics on oversized monitors, offering a visual timeline of the game's progress.
Participants who complete the hunt earn exclusive chibi-style rubber straps and serial codes for Dimensional Crystals, the game's primary currency. The activation underscores a push by Akatsuki Games to deepen engagement with the North American fanbase as the project expands across mobile and Steam platforms. The event serves as a high-visibility showcase for the title ahead of further planned content updates for the series.
