AbbVie Reports Phase 3 Success for Epcoritamab Combination Therapy
A chemotherapy-free regimen combining epcoritamab and lenalidomide has significantly improved progression-free survival for patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, according to topline results from the Phase 3 EPCORE DLBCL-4 trial released by AbbVie on Monday.

The clinical trial met its primary endpoint, demonstrating that the dual-agent treatment reduces the risk of disease progression and death by 60% and 56% respectively, depending on regional censoring rules. This outcome offers a potential shift in care for patients who have already undergone at least one prior line of therapy and face an aggressive form of the disease.
"These topline results highlight the potential of epcoritamab as a meaningful treatment option after initial disease progression," said Daejin Abidoye, M.D., vice president of oncology at AbbVie. The company confirmed that the safety profile observed during the trial remained consistent with the known individual effects of the two drugs. AbbVie and its partner, Genmab, plan to engage global regulatory authorities to discuss the next steps for approval, with detailed data slated for presentation at an upcoming medical conference.
