Jon Prosser Shifts Blame in Apple iOS Leak Lawsuit
YouTuber Jon Prosser has formally denied claims of a coordinated conspiracy to steal Apple trade secrets, instead pointing the finger at co-defendant Michael Ramacciotti. While acknowledging his role in broadcasting unreleased software, Prosser insists he remained unaware of the illicit origins behind the information he shared with his audience.
The legal response follows Apple’s July complaint, which accused Prosser and Ramacciotti of orchestrating a scheme to breach a development iPhone. Apple alleges that Ramacciotti accessed a device belonging to employee Ethan Lipnik and shared the contents during a FaceTime call with the content creator. Prosser’s channel, Front Page Tech, subsequently featured three videos analyzing an unannounced iOS 19 interface that mirrored elements later showcased as part of iOS 26.
In his filing, Prosser admits to participating in the call and sharing advertising revenue with Ramacciotti, but he rejects the narrative of a joint criminal enterprise. He claims he had no knowledge of Ramacciotti’s financial motivations, nor did he recognize Lipnik’s identity or the methods used to obtain the data. By positioning himself as an unwitting recipient rather than a conspirator, Prosser attempts to distance his editorial output from the alleged theft of intellectual property.
