Marshall refreshes Acton and Stanmore speakers with repairable designs
Marshall is moving toward longevity with the release of its fourth-generation Acton and Stanmore wireless speakers. By prioritizing modular components and repositioned hardware, the company aims to reduce e-waste while refining the acoustic performance of its iconic home audio lineup, which hits store shelves starting today.

The Acton IV and Stanmore IV replace four-year-old models, introducing a design shift that allows users to replace damaged parts like knobs, feet, and the branded front grills. Beyond structural durability, Marshall engineers redesigned the internal bass ports to achieve a more aerodynamic shape, promising cleaner, more powerful low-end output. The company also shifted the power cord input from the back to the underside of the chassis, allowing both units to sit flush against a wall without cable interference.
Technically, the Acton IV features a 4-inch woofer paired with dual 0.75-inch tweeters for $299.99, while the larger Stanmore IV utilizes a 5-inch woofer and retails for $399.99. Both speakers maintain compatibility with the Heddon Wi-Fi streaming hub, which integrates directly with services like Spotify Connect and Tidal. Furthermore, support for Bluetooth Auracast remains a core feature, enabling seamless multi-unit synchronization for expanded home audio setups.
