With nearly 1.2 million students under its scope, the Future-Ready Facilities Grant has officially shifted from selection to execution. The rollout encompasses a diverse range of educational environments, from massive urban systems like Los Angeles Unified and the School District of Philadelphia to smaller community districts such as Bemidji Area Schools in Minnesota. Every participating district includes Title I schools, with nearly a third of the cohort incorporating tribal schools into the program. This selection strategy prioritizes communities where granular building data can provide the most significant impact on student health and infrastructure maintenance.

Dr. Serene Almomen, CEO of Attune, emphasized that the current scoping phase is designed to map specific facility needs before hardware deployment begins. By tailoring monitoring plans to local conditions, the company intends to provide districts with live dashboards that track water systems, energy consumption, and air quality. This initiative was developed alongside partners including the Center for Green Schools and the International WELL Building Institute, ensuring that the technology implementation is grounded in established sustainability and infrastructure standards.
