Flight Attendant Files Counterclaim Against Matt Danzeisen Alleging Assault
A flight attendant has launched a federal counterclaim against Matt Danzeisen, husband of billionaire Peter Thiel, accusing him of physical assault and retaliatory legal intimidation. Stefanie Bojar claims that a 2024 altercation aboard a private jet left her with severe ankle injuries requiring surgery and a career-ending physical trauma.

The conflict centers on a July 13, 2024, incident in Sun Valley, Idaho, where Bojar alleges Danzeisen shoved her and struck her with heavy luggage. Her legal team at HHJ Trial Attorneys argues that Danzeisen and Thiel Capital LLC preemptively sued Bojar to silence her, leveraging their vast financial resources to control the narrative. The counterclaim characterizes the environment on the private aircraft as volatile and abusive, noting that Bojar is not the only crew member to report such conduct. According to the filing, two other flight attendants previously departed the account after experiencing similar hostility, including an incident where one was nearly struck by thrown cutlery.
Bojar is seeking general, special, and punitive damages for battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The suit also targets Thiel Capital LLC for negligent supervision and vicarious liability. Partners Elliott Jung and Michael Hernandez contend that their client was forced into the legal arena after the defendants attempted to weaponize the court system against her. The case, currently pending in the United States District Court for the Central District of California under Case No. 8:26-cv-01107, seeks to hold the defendants accountable for actions that Bojar’s representatives describe as a blatant abuse of power.
