BUBBA and MLF Bring Pro-Level Tournament Scoring to Amateur Anglers
Tournament fishing technology is moving from the professional stage to local lakes as BUBBA and Major League Fishing launch SCORETRACKER LIVE. This platform, which mirrors the real-time leaderboard systems used by top-tier pros, is now accessible to organizers and competitors nationwide through the BUBBA mobile application.

The rollout follows a year of beta testing after the initial announcement at ICAST 2025. By connecting to BUBBA Smart Fish Scales, the system allows tournament organizers to manage event logistics and scoring, while anglers track their standings on a live leaderboard throughout the day. The technology supports various formats, including catch-weigh-release, traditional five-fish bags, and big-fish competitions, having already logged over 91,000 hours of active use during professional events like the Bass Pro Tour.
Professional angler Skeet Reese, who recently tested the system at the Reese Big Bass Battle, noted that the platform fundamentally alters tournament strategy by providing instant feedback to both participants and spectators. Beyond software, BUBBA is expanding its hardware ecosystem at this year’s ICAST expo with the Pro Series Smart Bump Board for length-based scoring and a dedicated Tournament Weigh Station. The consumer debut of the full system takes place July 14 at the ICAST Cup in Kissimmee, Florida, where competing teams will utilize the platform to support the Keep America Fishing initiative.
