Sowder brings over 15 years of prior institutional knowledge to the role, having spent a significant portion of her earlier career as an associate and counsel at the firm. She will focus on advising financial institutions and private funds on high-level financing transactions, including asset-based arrangements for corporate borrowers. Her appointment comes as the firm prioritizes the expansion of its private capital platform to accommodate the shifting needs of its client base.

Firm leadership, including Presiding Partner Peter Furci and Fund Finance Co-Chair Ramya Tiller, emphasized that Sowder’s familiarity with their existing operations ensures immediate integration and capacity for the group’s growing workload. A graduate of the UCLA School of Law, Sowder’s practice will remain centered on the sophisticated financing mechanisms currently driving fundraising and investment activity across global strategies.
