Celebree School Overhauls Franchise Development to Meet Childcare Demand
Navigating the complexities of opening a childcare center has become a high-stakes hurdle for entrepreneurs, as construction costs and site acquisition timelines continue to climb. To mitigate these pressures, Baltimore-based Celebree School is rolling out a specialized infrastructure platform designed to accelerate the development process for its growing network of franchisees.

The initiative centralizes the most technical aspects of expansion, including internal site underwriting, real-time evaluation, and a curated network of pre-approved contractors and architects. By formalizing these resources, the company aims to move beyond traditional franchise support, providing a structured, milestone-based roadmap that spans from initial property selection to final school opening.
Mark Lubin, Chief Development Officer, emphasizes that the strategy relies heavily on the company's own operational experience. Because the brand continues to manage company-owned locations, it uses real-time data to identify opportunities in adaptive reuse, allowing franchisees to retrofit existing commercial spaces rather than starting from scratch. This focus on speed is critical as the brand targets expansion in major hubs like Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, and Phoenix.
Financial performance remains a key driver for interest in the model. According to the company’s April 2026 Franchise Disclosure Document, mature company-operated schools reported an average unit volume of $2.26 million throughout 2025. To further stimulate growth, the firm recently introduced a 0% royalty incentive for new franchise owners. This investment in scalable systems arrives as municipalities and landlords increasingly view high-quality early childhood education as essential community infrastructure, creating a more favorable environment for long-term site development.
