Empower Brands Posts Double-Digit Growth Amid Home Service Demand
A 15 percent surge in total franchise transactions underscores a robust first half of 2026 for Richmond-based Empower Brands. As aging residential infrastructure drives consumer demand for maintenance and repairs, the franchisor is leveraging this market shift to scale its portfolio of ten home and commercial service brands.

The company reported a 13 percent year-over-year increase in new franchisees, signaling significant appetite for its diversified service offerings, which range from outdoor living construction to specialized roofing and insulation. This growth trajectory coincides with projections from the Harvard Joint Center for Housing Studies, which estimates residential improvement spending will top $522 billion this year.
Strategic expansion efforts extended beyond U.S. borders in 2026, marking the company's first foray into Canada. Superior Fence & Rail initiated this move in February, quickly securing four new franchise owners to establish a foothold in the region. To support this scaling, Empower Brands optimized its internal Franchise Development Center of Excellence by integrating AI-driven pipeline management and recruiting three senior development leaders. According to chief development officer R. Scott Sutton, the focus remains on a disciplined go-to-market approach that prioritizes precise matching of owners to specific brand needs over rapid, indiscriminate expansion.
