First Federal Bank Expands Board with Finance and Banking Veterans
Vickie DePratter and Michael D. McAuley joined the First Federal Bank Board of Directors effective July 1, bringing decades of specialized expertise in financial oversight, risk management, and mortgage banking to the Lake City-based institution as it continues its regional expansion across Florida and South Carolina.

DePratter, a long-standing member of the bank’s audit committee, transitions to a permanent board role with a background spanning public service and agricultural management. A Certified Public Accountant, she previously served as CFO and Chief Risk Manager for the Suwannee County School Board. She currently operates DePratter Consulting, LLC, while managing timber operations in Suwannee County, offering the board a unique perspective on local economic development and fiscal governance.
McAuley joins the board as a principal at the consulting firm Garrett, McAuley & Co. His career includes senior leadership positions at JPMorgan Chase and Washington Mutual, alongside significant experience in warehouse lending and regulatory compliance. His appointment aligns with the bank's strategy to bolster its oversight capabilities, particularly as the institution manages over $4.5 billion in assets and maintains its long-standing 'Excellent' rating from BauerFinancial, Inc.
