Photocure reports Q2 revenue growth as bladder cancer diagnostics expand

Photocure ASA posted second-quarter 2026 revenues of NOK 140 million for its Hexvix/Cysview products, marking a steady increase from the NOK 135.6 million reported during the same period last year. The Oslo-based company is now raising its full-year revenue growth guidance to a range of 8% to 11%.

The company’s growth strategy centers on increasing the reach of blue-light cystoscopy. During the second quarter, Photocure installed six new Saphira towers in the U.S., bringing its total count of active accounts to 436—a 20% increase compared to the previous year. In Europe, the rollout of Olympus Visera Elite III systems continues to gain traction, bolstered by ongoing upgrades to rigid systems from manufacturers like Karl Storz and Stryker.

Beyond its core imaging business, Photocure is diversifying through the acquisition of Vesica Health. This move integrates the AssureMDx multi-omic urine test into the company’s portfolio, a step intended to create a comprehensive precision diagnostics platform. CEO Dan Schneider noted that the integration of non-invasive biomarker testing with existing imaging technologies aims to streamline the patient diagnostic pathway. Looking toward regulatory changes in the U.S., the company anticipates that the FDA’s planned reclassification of blue-light cystoscopy equipment later this year will simplify the regulatory landscape and encourage broader market participation.
