ADLM 2026 Convenes 17,000 Experts to Chart Future of Clinical Diagnostics

The five-day meeting underscored the evolving role of clinical laboratories in modern medicine through a series of specialized plenary sessions. Dr. David M. The program concluded with Dr. Arun Wiita’s exploration of mass spectrometry as a tool for precision blood cancer treatment.

Innovation took center stage during the Disruptive Technology Award competition, where Kompass Diagnostics secured the top prize for its IDA multimodal electrical transduction platform. Across the Anaheim Convention Center, 700 exhibitors occupied over 300,000 square feet, displaying a vast array of tools spanning artificial intelligence, molecular diagnostics, and point-of-care testing. ADLM CEO Melanie J. Wells noted that the scale of the event reflects the field's expanding influence on patient outcomes and global health equity. Looking ahead, the association has scheduled its 2027 meeting to take place in Chicago from July 25-29.
