AlarMax Expands Pittsburgh Footprint with Lab and Fulfillment Hub
AlarMax Distributors is scaling its national logistics and technical training reach by unveiling two major facilities in Pennsylvania. The expansion includes a 40,000-square-foot National Fulfillment Center in Cranberry Township and an immersive Product Experience Innovation Lab at the company's Pittsburgh headquarters.

The new APEX Innovation Lab serves as a collaborative hub where customers and suppliers can test integrated security, fire, and networking solutions from 15 top vendors. Beyond equipment displays, the space functions as a dedicated classroom for professional certification programs and technical training, addressing a growing demand for expertise in low-voltage systems. Scott Shelander, President and CEO of AlarMax, noted that the facility aims to foster an environment where partners can design complete solutions rather than simply sourcing individual components.
Simultaneously, the company’s new 40,000-square-foot National Fulfillment Center in Cranberry Township significantly bolsters its supply chain infrastructure. This site increases inventory capacity across key product categories and streamlines order distribution for the company's nationwide network. Chairman Bill Teitelbaum described these investments as a shift in the distribution model, where long-term growth is tied to providing technical support and operational reliability alongside inventory availability. The company plans to showcase these capabilities during a public open house event at the new fulfillment site on August 25.
