Doceree Brings Spark Point-of-Care App to Mayo Clinic Platform
Patients often abandon prescriptions at the pharmacy counter due to unexpected costs, but a new integration aims to fix this at the exam room level. Doceree’s Spark application has officially qualified for the Mayo Clinic Platform, embedding co-pay assistance and drug education directly into the physician’s prescribing workflow.
Built as a SMART on FHIR application, Spark integrates into existing electronic health records to provide physicians with real-time access to affordability programs, clinical trial eligibility, and medication information. By surfacing these options while the therapy is being selected, the tool seeks to eliminate the sticker shock that frequently prevents patients from filling their prescriptions. The platform operates with a privacy-first, HIPAA-compliant design that ensures clinical data remains protected while reaching verified providers at the point of care.
Harshit Jain, M.D., founder and global CEO of Doceree, noted that the qualification process rigorously pressure-tested the company’s workflow integration and privacy safeguards. As part of the Mayo Clinic Platform Solutions Studio, the tool is now deployment-ready for health systems within the network.
