Zensar Technologies Reports Q1FY27 Revenue of $159.5 Million

Zensar Technologies achieved a 1.1% sequential increase in constant currency revenue for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, reaching $159.5 million. Despite a complex macroeconomic environment marked by slower project mobilization and tighter discretionary IT spending, the company leaned heavily on its banking and financial services sector to drive results.

The company’s performance was defined by a sharp divide between its primary growth engine and other segments. Banking and Financial Services surged, recording 8.3% sequential growth, while areas such as Telecommunication, Media and Technology saw a 9.1% decline. Profit after tax settled at 12.2% of revenue, representing a 220-basis-point drop compared to the previous quarter. CFO Pulkit Bhandari attributed this compression to the costs associated with transitioning and executing large-scale deals.

CEO Manish Tandon highlighted that the firm is prioritizing AI-native solutions to navigate current market headwinds. This strategy is reflected in recent contract wins, which include cloud-native grants modernization for a major US insurer and AI-powered audit platforms for supply chain providers. With $317.5 million in net cash and cash equivalents, Zensar intends to maintain its balance sheet strength while focusing on large-deal competitiveness. The company also saw external validation during the quarter, securing a leadership position in the Everest Group Guidewire Services PEAK Matrix and ranking first in the IT services category of India's 'Best Companies to Work For 2026'.
