Vandemoortele Finalizes Acquisition of New Jersey's Banneton Bakery

The integration of the New Jersey facility creates a hybrid supply model, blending Vandemoortele’s established European import infrastructure with local manufacturing capabilities. By producing premium croissants and Danish pastries domestically, the company aims to shorten supply chains and increase responsiveness to the specific demands of North American retail and foodservice partners.

Curt Coolidge, General Manager of Vandemoortele North America, described the purchase as a pivotal step in strengthening the firm’s local presence. To oversee the transition, Alexandre Bloch—previously of Vandemoortele France—has been appointed as the new Operations Manager. The Banneton brand will continue to be marketed alongside the existing Banquet d'Or portfolio, with the company confirming that service levels for current clients will remain unchanged during the transition.
