Furthermore, the selection process incorporated standardized ESG metrics, measuring environmental impact and social responsibility across corporate operations.

Melkeya McDuffie, Group 1's Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, attributed the company’s inclusion to the daily contributions of its workforce. She emphasized that the ranking validates the firm's internal initiatives, such as the Group 1 Retail Academy, which focuses on long-term career development for staff. Currently, the company manages 251 automotive dealerships, 312 franchises, and 32 collision centers throughout the United States and the United Kingdom, representing 37 different automotive brands.
