CollegeSource Streamlines Credit Transfers Through New Data Partnership

The program allows registrars and academic professionals to pull course data and American Council on Education (ACE) credit recommendations directly into their established workflows, including the TES and Transferology platforms. Study.com, a major provider of ACE-recommended online courses, has signed on as an initial partner alongside Sophia Learning. This integration enables institutions to maintain their specific academic review processes while reducing the manual research typically required for nontraditional learning credits.

Alanna Fenton-Esquinas, Vice President at CollegeSource, noted that the initiative provides professionals with the direct data needed to make informed decisions without ceding institutional authority over credit acceptance. For institutions, this means creating and publishing equivalencies more efficiently, which ultimately provides students with clearer insights into how their prior learning applies toward degree requirements.
