Hard Rock and Coca-Cola Launch Global Talent Search for Emerging Artists
Thirty-four countries and 64 Hard Rock Cafe locations will host the inaugural Hard Rock Rising competition, a collaborative effort between the restaurant group and Coca-Cola designed to elevate independent musicians. The partnership combines Hard Rock’s performance infrastructure with the production reach of Coke Studio to discover the next generation of recording artists.
Emerging bands, DJs, and singer-songwriters can submit two original tracks for consideration through August 18. The competition progresses through local fan-voted rounds at participating cafes throughout September, culminating in a final selection by the Coke Studio team. The global winner will receive a $10,000 prize, a professional recording session, and a headline performance slot in Orlando.
Eric Martino, President of Hard Rock Cafe and Retail, framed the initiative as a logical evolution of the company’s history of hosting open mics and residencies. The project is spearheaded on the production side by Rob Rettberg, a multi-platinum executive producer who aims to bridge the gap between local live performance and professional studio development. To support the launch, Hard Rock is rolling out a co-branded apparel line in partnership with the streetwear label Cult of Individuality, alongside a limited-time menu featuring Coca-Cola-infused cocktails.
