FHN Financial Expands Investment Banking Reach with New FIG Team
Memphis-based FHN Financial Securities Corp. has launched a dedicated Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group, recruiting veteran leaders Andrew Christians and Greg Cunningham from Donnelly Penman & Partners to bolster its expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and capital formation for banks and credit unions.

The addition of Christians and Cunningham, alongside their former team members, allows the firm to offer a more comprehensive suite of services to depository institutions and non-depository entities, including FinTech, mortgage banking, and consumer finance firms. This move integrates specialized advisory capabilities directly into FHN Financial’s existing platform.
Tim Romanow, President of FHN Financial, noted that the integration provides clients with a unified partner for navigating complex balance sheet management and strategic decision-making. For Christians and Cunningham, the transition offers a chance to pair their established advisory track record with the broader distribution network of a larger organization. The new group aims to leverage these expanded resources to serve the evolving needs of financial institutions, focusing on long-term growth and client-centric solutions.
