National Diaper Bank Network Secures $125,000 for Family Support
Nearly half of American families with young children currently struggle to afford diapers, a reality that prompted the Steven & Alexandra Cohen Foundation to award a $125,000 grant to the National Diaper Bank Network. This infusion of capital aims to supply essential hygiene products to 10,000 infants across the country.
The grant will be distributed among 25 community-based member organizations, ranging from the Food Bank of North Alabama to Wyoming’s Mommy’s Closet. By targeting smaller, localized basic needs banks, the funding bypasses large-scale logistical hurdles to reach families in immediate need. This latest contribution brings the total support provided by the Cohen Foundation to the network to $600,000.
NDBN CEO Joanne Samuel Goldblum noted that the partnership serves as a critical intervention in the ongoing struggle against domestic diaper insecurity. As the nonprofit celebrates its 15th anniversary in 2026, it continues to manage a membership of over 300 banks nationwide. The organization remains focused on both direct material assistance and the advancement of public policies aimed at ensuring families have access to the basic necessities required for their children to thrive.
