Envision Launches Gigawatt-Scale AI Campus in Ulanqab
Spanning 120,000 square meters, the new Envision Galaxy Campus in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia, marks a shift toward localized green AI infrastructure. By integrating renewable energy directly into a facility designed for one million AI accelerators, the project establishes a high-density blueprint for future hyperscale computing deployments.

The facility represents the first flagship project under Envision’s Mission Gobi initiative, which aims to deploy 5GW of green AI computing capacity in arid regions by 2030. At full capacity, the site is designed to deliver one million PFLOPS of computing power, utilizing proprietary AI Power Systems to achieve up to ten times the output per square meter compared to traditional data centers.
Ricky Zheng, General Manager of Envision’s AIDC, noted that the facility solves the primary bottlenecks for modern AI—power availability and energy efficiency. By leveraging Ulanqab’s abundant wind and solar resources, the campus provides a stable, low-cost electricity supply for high-density clusters. This infrastructure model allows technology companies to scale workloads while relying on dedicated transmission and large-scale storage, rather than overburdening existing grids.
