Redaptive Secures $137.4 Million Through Inaugural Equipment ABS Deal
Energy solutions firm Redaptive has closed a $137.4 million asset-backed securitization, marking its first foray into equipment-based financing. The deal, structured by ATLAS SP Partners, pools various industrial and commercial contracts to tap into capital markets, signaling a shift in how the Denver-based company scales its infrastructure projects.

The transaction, identified as Redaptive Equipment Issuer 2026-1, follows the company’s previous $216 million Energy-as-a-Service securitization from December 2025. Unlike the earlier deal focused on energy service contracts, this portfolio spans a diverse array of assets, including transportation, manufacturing, marine, and IT equipment. By packaging these payment streams, Redaptive aims to provide investors with infrastructure-like cash flows backed by the company's internal credit and collateral analysis.
Matt Gembrin, Chief Investment Officer at Redaptive, noted that the move extends the firm’s ability to finance infrastructure at scale while validating its data-driven underwriting model. ATLAS SP Partners, majority-owned by Apollo funds, served as the sole structuring agent and bookrunner. Thomas Pai, Managing Director at ATLAS, emphasized that the deal highlights the company’s ability to guide first-time issuers into the ABS market. The offering has received a rating from DBRS Morningstar, reinforcing the firm's transition from traditional capital expenditures toward more flexible, performance-backed financing solutions.
