The Institute of Medical and Business Careers (IMBC) is currently graduating students from medical assisting and phlebotomy programs in 18 months or less, aiming to fill vacancies in regional physician offices and clinics.
The institution emphasizes a hands-on curriculum that integrates clinical practice with administrative training. By focusing on small class sizes and personalized support, the school caters specifically to parents and career changers who require flexible paths to certification. Graduates are prepared for credentials such as the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) and Phlebotomy Technician, with exam costs often baked into the tuition structure.
Michael Euliano, President of IMBC Erie, attributes the program's success to their S.P.A.R.K. model—an acronym for Support, Pride, Awareness, Responsibility, and Knowledge. This approach prioritizes lab experience to ensure students are operationally ready upon hire. Beyond medical assisting, the campus maintains a broad portfolio of vocational education, including practical nursing, medical billing, and welding technology, all designed to meet the immediate staffing demands of the local economy.
