Coolita and Indonesian Broadcasters Form Nation's First FAST Alliance

Initiated by Coolita and the China Intercontinental Communication Center, the coalition seeks to modernize television distribution while maintaining the reach of traditional free-to-air models.

Founding members include major domestic outlets such as TVRI, Metro TV, GARUDA TV, BTV, Jawa Pos Multimedia, and JAKTV, with Tencent Cloud providing the necessary technical infrastructure. The alliance aims to bridge the gap between linear television habits and modern digital delivery, allowing local content creators to reach connected TV audiences more effectively.

Coolita, which currently supports over five million users in Indonesia, intends to use its global smart TV platform to facilitate this transition. By collaborating on channel development and distribution, the members hope to secure a competitive foothold in a market where viewing habits are increasingly moving away from traditional terrestrial signals toward internet-based streaming.
