Google Unveils Pixel 11 Lineup, Watch 5 and Item Trackers
Google is expanding its hardware ecosystem with a comprehensive refresh of the Pixel 11 series, alongside a health-focused Pixel Watch 5 and its first dedicated item tracker. While the new devices bring significant performance gains via the Tensor G6 chip, they arrive with notable price increases across the board.
The Pixel 11 enters the market at $899, marking a $100 price hike that now includes 256GB of base storage. It features a thinner camera bump and an upgraded lens array, while the Pro and Pro XL models introduce the HiLight LED—an indicator designed for Gemini interactions and contact alerts. These premium handsets offer displays reaching 3,600 nits and advanced 120x Pro Zoom capabilities. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold claims a threefold increase in durability and a refined design with the thinnest bezels in the foldable category, priced at $1,899.
Software enhancements take center stage with Magic Capture, which extracts stills from video, and new stylized photo presets. For health tracking, the Pixel Watch 5 ($399) adds Breathing Emergency Detection and forthcoming blood pressure monitoring, with Google asserting its GPS accuracy surpasses competitors like the Apple Watch Ultra 3. Rounding out the announcements, the new Pixel Tag arrives in November as a direct competitor to Apple’s AirTag, while the existing Pixel Buds Pro 2 receive a color refresh and upcoming noise-cancellation improvements.
