While Element maintains its primary operations in the Greater Toronto Area and Calgary, the acquisition allows the firm to tap into J.S. Held’s global bench of specialists, including those focused on forensic accounting, building consulting, and accident reconstruction.

This geographic proximity is intended to reduce travel costs and shorten timelines for national insurance carriers managing high-stakes files. For Element’s leadership, the transition offers a chance to scale their services significantly. Jeremy Bishop, managing partner at Element, likened the evolution to transitioning from a local clinic to a specialized hospital, where clients retain their existing relationships while gaining access to deeper technical layers. Beyond client-facing benefits, the move integrates Element’s staff into J.S.
