XCMG Launches AI Innovation Contest for Construction Machinery

Under the theme "Green Intelligence for a Better World," the 15th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition has opened for registration. Co-organized by XCMG, the event seeks to bridge the gap between laboratory-based artificial intelligence research and the practical demands of modern construction sites through three distinct competitive tracks.

The initiative invites global participation from universities, research institutions, and technology firms to tackle industry hurdles. The Professional Contest focuses on integrating AI into product hardware, autonomous worksite coordination, and administrative agent workflows. Meanwhile, the Customer Co-Creation track prioritizes resolving frontline operational challenges in mining and agriculture, specifically targeting equipment maintenance and unmanned system assistance.

For those tackling technical benchmarks, the Open Challenge mandates high-precision performance. Participants must achieve a 95% success rate for autonomous excavation in complex materials and 97% recognition accuracy for multi-sensor fusion in high-dust environments. Additionally, the challenge requires battery health estimation with an error margin below 3%. Projects selected through these channels receive access to capital, talent recruitment resources, and commercialization support to facilitate rapid market entry. Registration remains open until September 15, with final submissions due by September 25.
