Risen Energy and Ascania Energy Target 100 MW Solar Expansion in Ukraine
A strategic partnership between Risen Energy and Ascania Energy aims to bolster Ukraine’s power grid through the deployment of 100 MW of solar capacity and 200 MWh of battery energy storage. The collaboration focuses on decentralized infrastructure to provide flexible, reliable energy solutions during ongoing grid constraints.

The memoranda of understanding were signed by Risen Energy’s Europe President Jerry Qin and Ascania Energy CEO Yevhen Piatko following a site visit to Risen’s manufacturing facilities on August 13. The initiative seeks to integrate Risen’s high-efficiency Hyper-ion Pro heterojunction modules and eTron liquid-cooled storage systems into Ascania’s existing project pipeline. These technologies are designed to improve renewable energy integration and offer stability for industrial and commercial clients.
Ascania Energy brings deep local expertise in project development and engineering, while Risen provides a global track record that includes the 323 MW Pokrovskaya Solar Power Plant. By combining Risen’s R&D output—which has surpassed 121.4 GW in cumulative PV module shipments—with Ascania’s established supply chain, the companies intend to streamline technical capacity building and after-sales support across the Ukrainian market.
