Ericsson Repurchases 1.8 Million Shares in Latest Buyback Push

Number: 1,849,987 Class B shares were repurchased by Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson between September 7 and September 11, 2026. The acquisition, valued at approximately 179.5 million SEK, represents the latest tranche of a 15 billion SEK buyback program designed to return capital to shareholders through stock cancellation.

The company executed these transactions on Nasdaq Stockholm through Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE. Daily activity peaked on September 8 with one million shares acquired at a weighted average price of 96.8581 SEK. By the end of the week, the total volume reached 1.85 million shares, bringing the company’s total treasury holding to 107,518,663 Class B shares.

This buyback initiative, launched on April 16, 2026, is scheduled to run until March 31, 2027. Ericsson’s Board of Directors plans to propose the cancellation of the repurchased stock at the 2027 Annual General Meeting, excluding portions reserved for existing share-related incentive programs. The program adheres to the European Union’s Market Abuse Regulation and the Safe Harbour Regulation, ensuring transparent execution during the designated period.
