Windstar Cruises Unveils After-Hours Access to Landmark European Sites

Windstar Cruises is expanding its 2027 European itineraries with exclusive, after-hours access to the Tower of London, alongside new cultural events in Italy and Croatia. The new Destination Discovery Events offer passengers private, evening-only experiences at historic locations. In Livorno, guests will visit the 16th-century Fortezza Vecchia for a curated evening of Tuscan wine and music. Meanwhile, the Dubrovnik program features performances within a 15th-century Dominican cloister, followed by a theatrical showcase at the Marin Držić Theatre. The most exclusive addition is the Tower of London experience, limited to three specific sailings, which grants attendees after-hours entry to view the Crown Jewels and explore the White Tower alongside Yeoman Warders.

These additions are part of a broader expansion that will see Windstar host seven unique events across 165 sailings in 2027. The program coincides with the launch of the Star Explorer, an all-suite yacht designed for navigating inland waterways and smaller ports inaccessible to larger vessels. According to Stijn Creupelandt, chief operating officer at Windstar Cruises, these events aim to provide guests with an intimate connection to iconic landmarks, effectively extending the local experience beyond standard sightseeing hours.
