Vidle Housing Adds Coliving Options for Mobile Healthcare Workers
Traveling healthcare professionals facing high living costs now have access to shared housing through a new partnership between Vidle Housing and the coliving marketplace PadSplit. The collaboration integrates PadSplit’s inventory directly into the Vidle platform, offering nurses and allied health staff private, furnished rooms with inclusive utility pricing.
The agreement marks a strategic shift for Vidle Housing, which aims to move beyond a one-size-fits-all rental model. By incorporating PadSplit’s shared living spaces, the platform provides an alternative to traditional, more expensive apartment rentals. Residents in PadSplit homes occupy private, secured bedrooms while sharing common areas like kitchens, a setup designed to lower overhead for those on temporary assignments.
Randy Holloran, CEO of Vidle, noted that affordability is a primary driver for the modern healthcare traveler. The model allows participants to retain a larger portion of their housing stipends by opting for communal living. PadSplit, which manages over 38,000 rooms nationally, simplifies the process by bundling Wi-Fi and utilities into a single weekly payment, removing the logistical burden of setting up individual service contracts during short-term relocations. Atticus LeBlanc, founder and CEO of PadSplit, emphasized that this move helps essential workers secure flexible accommodation that aligns with their financial goals while working away from home.
