Managers Rate University of Phoenix Graduates Highly in New Harris Poll

The research, conducted in June 2026, compared feedback from 204 managers supervising University of Phoenix alumni against a benchmark group of 204 managers overseeing graduates from other institutions. Beyond basic satisfaction, 94% of supervisors categorized University of Phoenix graduates as excellent or above-average performers. When asked about future recruitment, 97% of those managers stated they would be likely to hire individuals holding a degree from the university again.

These findings suggest that the institution’s emphasis on skills-mapped curricula for working adults resonates with the practical requirements of current employers. While 88% of managers in the benchmark group reported positive perceptions of their staff, the University of Phoenix cohort consistently outperformed that group across key metrics, including overall satisfaction and performance ratings. John Woods, provost and chief academic officer, noted that such feedback underscores the necessity of bridging academic learning with immediate, real-world application to ensure graduates remain adaptable in changing industries.
