WaterField Designs Launches SteamPack for Steam Deck Ecosystem
San Francisco-based WaterField Designs has unveiled the SteamPack, a structured carrying case engineered to transport a complete Steam Deck setup. Designed for gamers who want to bring their dock, controllers, and power accessories on the road, the case provides a dedicated space for the handheld and its peripherals.

The SteamPack scales up the company’s previous SwitchPack design to accommodate the larger dimensions of the Steam Deck. Inside, the console rests in a plush-lined compartment featuring an Ultrasuede liner that protects the screen and serves as a cleaning cloth. Two individual pockets secure the controllers, while a padded section separates the power brick and HDMI cables to prevent damage during travel.
Functionality extends to a dedicated dock compartment secured by a magnetic full-grain leather flap. The exterior is crafted from either 1050 denier ballistic nylon or 15 oz. waxed canvas, reinforced with leather and fitted with waterproof YKK zippers. Priced at $179, the case weighs between 1.1 and 1.5 pounds depending on the material. It includes a leather-wrapped handle and D-ring attachment points for an optional sling strap, offering a more professional aesthetic than standard gaming gear.
