UROVO Launches UPad to Unify Frontline Enterprise Hardware

Built on the company's proprietary Quick Lock architecture, the tablet transitions between handheld, wall-mounted, and countertop configurations. This adaptability targets diverse sectors including retail, hospitality, and logistics, where the device handles tasks ranging from mobile point-of-sale transactions to high-speed asset tracking via an Impinj E-series UHF RFID chipset.

Technically, the UPad runs on a Qualcomm octa-core processor utilizing a 4 nm process, paired with an 11-inch display designed for use with gloves or wet hands. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 6E and optional Wi-Fi HaLow, supported by an 8,000 mAh removable battery. CTO Zhang Bo noted that the integration of SoftPOS and data capture tools into a unified system addresses the inefficiency of relying on multiple standalone devices. IT departments can manage these units remotely through the UROVO Unified Management System, which handles configuration and deployment at scale to lower maintenance overhead.
