Monumental Sports & Entertainment is reshuffling its executive suite to better manage its expanding portfolio of teams, media, and venues. Zach Leonsis, formerly the head of media and new enterprises, steps into the newly created role of President and Vice Chairman, marking a significant shift in the organization's long-term succession strategy.

In his expanded capacity, Zach Leonsis will oversee financial operations, infrastructure, and technology across the enterprise. He continues to work closely with his father, Ted Leonsis, who remains the controlling owner, CEO, and primary architect of the company’s strategic vision. Ted Leonsis retains sole decision-making authority for the organization’s various sports franchises, including the Washington Wizards and Washington Capitals.

The leadership transition also triggers a change in the finance department. Grant Hastings, previously the Senior Vice President of New Enterprises, is set to become Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Steve Miller. Miller, who joined the company in 2025, plans to exit for personal reasons but will remain in an advisory role through the end of 2026 to facilitate the handover.

Operational silos are also being dismantled under the new structure. Jordan Silberman, the President of Venues, will see his portfolio grow to include infrastructure and technology oversight. This consolidation brings Chief Technology Officer Charlie Myers and his team under Silberman’s direction, a move designed to better integrate the company’s digital and physical fan experiences.
