Montera Infrastructure Recruits Justin J. Landfair as Legal Chief
As Montera Infrastructure accelerates the development of its inaugural hyperscale campuses, the firm has appointed Justin J. Landfair to serve as Chief Legal Officer. Landfair, a veteran of the data center sector, will oversee the company's regulatory compliance, governance strategies, and the structural framework for large-scale site acquisition and construction.

Landfair arrives at the San Francisco-based firm following a tenure at Aligned Data Centers, where he acted as Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel. During his time there, he spearheaded legal efforts on gigawatt-scale transactions valued at billions of dollars. His professional history also includes a nine-year stint at Digital Realty Trust, where he managed customer leasing and supported major acquisitions such as Telx and Dupont Fabros. He began his legal career within the corporate and energy practices at Duane Morris LLP and McGuireWoods LLP.
Founder and CEO Eanna Murphy described Landfair as a catalyst for growth whose strategic vision aligns with Montera’s goal to deliver high-capacity digital infrastructure. Landfair noted that his decision to join the team was driven by the industry's current demand for rapid, large-scale infrastructure deployment—a challenge he compares to the energy sector's expansion during the Marcellus buildout. Montera’s leadership team, which draws talent from firms including Google, Meta, and Oracle, has collectively brought over 8 GW of data center capacity to market.
