Norwegian Cruise Line to Debut Whitney Houston Tribute on Norwegian Aura
Norwegian Cruise Line is set to launch its latest vessel, Norwegian Aura, in May 2027 with a headline production honoring the legacy of Whitney Houston. Developed alongside the late singer's estate and Primary Wave Music, the show anchors a broader entertainment suite designed to transform the ship’s theater into a live concert venue.

The new production will feature contemporary arrangements of hits like "I Will Always Love You" and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody," utilizing the three-story Aura Theatre & Club to blend live vocals with immersive stagecraft. Bryan White, vice president of entertainment production at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings, noted that the show continues the company's recent trend of Vegas-style residencies, following similar tributes to Prince and Elton John on other fleet vessels.
Beyond the tribute, the ship’s entertainment roster includes "ILLUMINOX: Infinite Wonder Unboxed," an illusion-based show featuring acrobatics, and "The Vinyl Republic," a multi-genre live music collective performing across the ship. The adults-only "LunaTique: Pop Circus" will also return, offering a late-night mix of cabaret and cocktails. Following an inaugural Mediterranean voyage in May 2027, the ship will reposition to Miami to begin a series of Caribbean itineraries, including stops at the company's private island destinations.
