Microsoft Raises Dividend by Eight Percent
Microsoft shareholders will see a payout increase to $0.98 per share this December, as the company’s board of directors authorized an 8% boost over the previous quarter. The tech giant confirmed the dividend payment date for December 10, following an ex-dividend date set for November 19.

The increase represents a 7-cent jump per share, signaling continued capital return to investors. To qualify for the payment, shareholders must be on the company’s record as of November 19, 2026.
Alongside the financial update, Microsoft scheduled its 2026 Annual Shareholders Meeting for December 8. The virtual event will feature key leadership, including chairman and CEO Satya Nadella, CFO Amy Hood, president Brad Smith, and lead independent director Sandra E. Peterson. Investors holding shares at the close of business on September 30 will be eligible to cast their votes during the meeting.
